The Kyle Sizemore Memorial Drivers Education and Safety Fund

The family of Kyle Sizemore established a fund with North Kitsap Education Foundation in 2006 to provide scholarships for students to enroll in drivers’ education programs and to sponsor driving safety programs at North Kitsap Schools.  More . . .

North Kitsap School District funds half day kindergarten programs, but provides full day programs where parents are able to pay for the additional half day.  NK Education Foundation supports scholarship donations from the community to assist parents who would like their children to attend a full day program, but cannot afford the entire expense.  More . . .

Following the successful presentation in January 2007 at Kingston Junior High of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) program called Parents and Teachers as Allies - Recognizing Early-Onset Mental Illness in Children and Adolescents, the Foundation established the Mental Illness Awareness Education Fund.  Donations to this fund are used to help present similar in-service training at NK schools.

How to apply: Only renewal applications will be accepted for 2008 scholarships. They are due by April 1, 2008. Renewal criteria and application forms are available at this website and the high school Counseling Offices. Only previous recipients will be eligible to apply. Recipients must reapply each year. Renewals are for a maximum of four years of undergraduate education in a math or science area of study. More . . .

North Kitsap alumni, in cooperation with North Kitsap Education Foundation,  host an annual golf tournament for the purpose of raising funds for scholarships for worthy graduating North Kitsap students who have not received substantial scholarship or financial assistance from other sources.    More . . .
